Our awards
At Alternative Infrastructure Investments (Aii) we’re committed to becoming one of the UK’s leading private client wealth managers, built on strong, long-term relationships and an unrivaled level of service. It’s an approach that means our people are our most valued asset. So we’re always proud when the industry acknowledges our hard work and expertise.
Recognising the importance of London as a center for international finance, Alternative Infrastructure Investments opened shop in London's famous city in 2009. What initially started as a small bureau de change rapidly expanded into wealth management, securities and FX trading company – business activities that remain at the core of the Alternative Infrastructure Investments (Aii) until today
Recalibration
The 2008 credit crisis ushered in a fundamentally changed business environment, leading to the early days of Alternative Infrastructure Investments (Aii) to take a rather unorthodox step. By separating the Group’s asset management and private client businesses in November 2009, each individual business was provided with precious strategic flexibility in the early stage of this new cycle. The private portfolio business became the independent Alternative Infrastructure Investments (Aii) and began systematically broadening its international presence and specialised offering via acquisitions and a number of strategic cooperation agreements around the globe.
Quantum leap
In August 2012, Alternative Infrastructure Investments (Aii) initiated the next phase of its growth by acquiring Adax Capital’s International Wealth Management (IWM) business outside the UK. IWM provided a rare opportunity to substantially increase the Alternative Infrastructure Investments (Aii)’s footprint in established markets, new markets, and in growth regions. This growth enabled the Group to further, strengthen its leading position in a highly competitive industry, to provide clients with an unparalleled product and services offering, and to tackle any future challenges from a position of strength as the international reference in wealth management.
